Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital
The Sioux Falls Surgical Center was organized in October 1985 to provide same day surgery for its patients. In October 1996, the Surgical Center expanded its services to include a Recovery Care department. The Recovery Care department accommodates the post-operative needs of patients undergoing more extensive types of surgery, requiring patient care beyond the ambulatory setting. Radiology services for the SFSC expanded in 1998 to include MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). In January 2009, the name was changed to Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital to better reflect the services provided. This was changed again in August 2011 to Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital.
Employees of the Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital are proud of their reputation and dedication to the patients served. It is the goal of Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital to provide the most advanced, patient-centered surgical services in an atmosphere of professionalism, quality and compassionate care.
