Allison Stock, JD, RN
Allison Stock serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and is responsible for day-to-day operations of SMP and provides operational support toall SMP facilities. Allison believes in a collaborative work environment ensuring that SMP adapts to the specialized needs of each client. Before her role as COO, Allison served as the VP of Clinical & Operational Services and assisted SMP with the development of ASCs. Before joining SMP, she worked in ASC Operations and Compliance and served as the Executive Director of a multi-specialty surgery center for over 10 years. Allison has been a speaker at Becker’s Business and Operations of ASCs Conference and a contributor to several articles for Becker’s ASC Review. Allison is a RN with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Indiana University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and maintains her CNOR, CASC, and CAIP credentials.
Amy Hanisch
Amy Hanisch has more than 25 years of human resources experience in the health care field in specialty hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Amy is very knowledgeable in benefits administration, COBRA, FMLA, employee coaching and performance management. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sioux Falls in business management and Associates Degree of applied science in office systems & medical secretary from Southeast Technical Institute.
Traci Albers, MBA
Traci Albers is the CEO of Surgical Management Professionals (SMP), responsible for the operational and strategic success of SMP facilities. She began her career as CEO at a critical access hospital and rural health clinic in South Dakota. After several years in this role, Traci joined SMP in 2002. During her tenure with SMP, she has run several multi-specialty surgery centers, served as Director of Operations, and served as Chief Operating Officer prior to assuming her role as CEO. Traci holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. She has been a speaker at national and state association meetings for both ASCs and specialty hospitals. Additionally, Traci served as the first president of the Minnesota Ambulatory Surgery Center Association and contributed many years as an Association board member and Government Affairs Committee member. She is a results-driven leader who relishes the opportunity to partner with entrepreneurial physicians to provide high-quality, low-cost care.
Allison Bolger
Allison has more than 25 years of experience in health care financial management both in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. While with Surgical Management Professionals, she has developed SMP’s equity investment fund, assists in the identification of financing sources for the company and its clients, and provides leadership and expertise in finance, accounting, and revenue cycle. She has been instrumental in helping with the financial development and turn-around of physician-owned and joint-venture ambulatory surgical centers and surgical hospitals. Prior to joining SMP, Allison worked as the division controller for a large nonprofit health care system for its owned, leased and managed hospitals. She began her career in accounting by working at a regional CPA firm in its health care division. Allison received her Bachelor of Science degree with an accounting major and her Master’s in business administration from the University of South Dakota.
Dr. R. Blake Curd
Dr. Curd completed his fellowship training at the Indiana Hand Center, the largest free standing center dedicated to hand/upper extremity care, research and education in the world. Dr. Curd completed his medical education at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine and internship at David Grant United States Air Force Medical Center and a residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Dr. Curd is a frequent lecturer and guest speaker on topics covering hand and upper extremity surgery. He has given lectures and performed surgery on five continents. Dr. Curd is an active proponent of physician ownership in healthcare. He is frequently interviewed and asked for comments for various media at the local, regional and national level. Dr. Curd serves as the President-Elect for Physician Hospitals of America and is a Manager for Medical Facilities Corporation (MFC) USA, a publicly traded company that promotes physician ownership of healthcare and surgical facilities through partnering with physicians. He is politically active and makes 6 trips to Washington D.C. per year, advocating and lobbying for improving healthcare delivery.
Recently, Dr. Curd was accepted to the 2012-2013 Leadership Fellows Program (LFP) for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
